Christmas is coming in less than a week and it will be gone in a flash as it is every year. I’m sitting at my desk wondering what my readers would like to see from me and what I see is the reflection off of the snow to create amazing light. It twinkles, it shimmers and it brings to mind what I love the most about winter. The feathery hoar frost in the mornings, a cup of steaming hot coffee with all the rich flavours of the season (nudge nudge, baileys), the scent of a roaring fire, the sounds of giddy children making snowmen and the pounding of the four pawed child diving through the snow. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a portrait session in the snow with your fur babies? It may be a bit too cold for the kitties but I have photographed one or two in the snow. Most dogs love it. At least my doggo does. A winter wonderland can create some of the most amazing images.
Do I photograph in weather like today where it is -42 degrees Celsius with the wind chill? Heck no, that’s not enjoyable for anyone. I will photograph in -10 degrees though. You’d have to be a bit flexible as winter is so unpredictable around these parts. It is supposed to warm up between Christmas and New Year’s Eve so I am hoping to take on one more session before the end of the year. We also have the ability to hold Winter Wonderland sessions is January and February, sometimes even March. Are you interested in these sessions? Contact me below if you are, let’s start planning your Winter Wonderland Pet Portrait Session.
